Baseball Edged Late by Skyline, 4-3

San Bruno, Calif. - Despite holding a slight edge after five innings, the Solano baseball team was edged late by Skyline, 4-3, on Tuesday afternoon.

Freshman Dillon Nosrati led the Falcons at the plate with a 2-for-3 outing with a double. Freshman Jaxson Bates recorded the team's other extra-base hit with a double to count a pair of RBI on his lone hit of the game. 

Freshman Richard Mealey (0-1) was charged with the loss after throwing 3.2 innings and allowing the pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth, both unearned. He tallied five strikeouts, while scattering four hits. Freshman Ryan Radkey started the contest, allowing a pair of hits and fanning four through five complete.

Solano (1-7) returns home to host Monterey Peninsula next on Thursday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m.
