Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano baseball team picked up a win in the first game of the pre-conference tournament, topping Los Medanos, 7-2, on Saturday afternoon.
Freshmen Austin Menesini and Jaxson Bates both went yard for the Falcons, while freshman Nico Castrillo tallied a triple on his 2-for-3 outing at the plate. Menesini and freshman Victor Vega both earned multi-RBI games with a pair each, while Bates scored three of the team's runs.
Freshman Anthony Galindo (1-4) picked up the win for the Falcons on the bump, throwing two complete and only allowing one hit.
Solano (2-12) continues its play in the pre-conference tournament, heading to Laney next on Tuesday, Mar. 8 for a 2 p.m. first pitch.
