Stockton, Calif. - The Solano softball team took an early lead in the third inning but dropped a 10-2 contest at San Joaquin Delta on Thursday afternoon.
The Falcons scored a pair of runs to take a 2-1 lead in the third inning behind a RBI single by sophomore Alaena Selden, but the Mustangs scored eight runs in the bottom of the fourth to end the game in five innings.
Sophomore Adriana Montuya (1-2) was charged with the loss in the circle, allowing seven runs, only five earned, and nine hits in three complete innings of work.
Solano (2-5) remains on the road, heading to Butte next on Friday, Mar. 1 for a 12 p.m. first pitch.
