Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano softball team split Friday afternoon's doubleheader, but took the second game over Butte in walk-off fashion, 6-5, after falling 9-7 in the first game.
Freshman Britney Czelusniak hit a two-out line drive double to right field to score freshman Hailey Enriquez in her only hit of the game. The softball team scored four runs in the final frame.
Overall on the day, sophomore Courtney McGraw went 5-of-8 with three runs and four RBI to lead the Solano offense.
Sophomore Adriana Montuya (2-2) earned the complete-game win, allowing only three earned runs while fanning five.
Solano (4-6) opens Bay Valley Conference play on Tuesday, Mar. 12, heading to Yuba in a doubleheader that begins at 12 p.m.
