Falcons Remain Undefeated in BVC Play with Sweep of Folsom Lake

Fairfield, Calif. - Sophomore Alaena Selden went 3-for-3 with a two-RBI single to score the go-ahead run to lead the Falcons to a sweep of Folsom Lake, 3-1 and 2-1, on Thursday afternoon.

In the first game, Selden batted 1.000 on three at bats, counting her two-RBI single in the first inning to right field. Selden added three stolen bases with two coming back-to-back in the first inning. Sophomore Adriana Montuya (4-2) earned the complete-game win, allowing only one earned run and striking out seven.

Montuya and sophomore Jamie Batto took over the second game, both scoring in the sixth inning with 2-of-3 performances. Montuya opened the sixth inning with a double with Batto scoring her two plays later. Sophomore Courtney McGraw (1-3) earned the win, entering the game in the top of the sixth. She allowed one unearned run and one hit.

Solano (8-6, 4-0) remains home to host a non-conference doubleheader against Consumnes River and Shasta beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Mar. 16
