Softball Looks to Rebound After Playoff-Opening Loss at San Mateo

San Mateo, Calif. - Freshman Caitlin Aston batted in the lone run for the No. 16 Solano softball team as it lost at No. 1 San Mateo, 7-1, on Friday afternoon in the first game of the best-of-three playoff series.

Aston counted a double in her solo hit of the game, while sophomore Aleya Turner recorded the lone multi-hit game for the Falcons.

Sophomore Adriana Montuya was charged with the complete-game loss in the circle, making her record 9-4 overall.

Solano (21-14) looks to rebound in game two of the series on Saturday, May 4 at 12 p.m. A third game will be played immediately following, if necessary.
