Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano softball team earned the 2018-19 Athletic Director's award, displaying outstanding achievement academically, athletically, and in the community. 

The softball team, led by second year head coach Nikki Gentile, achieved a 3.0 team GPA for the year and successfully transferred seven student-athletes to four-year institutions. In addition to winning the Bay Valley Conference Championship after an undefeated 14-0 conference campaign, the team volunteered extensively in the community at events such as the September Coastal Clean-Up, November Solano County Foodbank, Make-A-Wish program at the Solano Child Care Center and the Fairfield Rotary Club.
