Two Falcons Sign to Continue Softball Careers

Fairfield, Calif. - Britney Czelusniak (RHP/1B) and Hailey Enriquez (3B/OF) have signed with four-year schools to continue their softball careers, announced Friday.

Czelusniak inked with Southwestern Christian University (NAIA) in Bethany, Okla., while Enriquez signed with Dickinson State University (NAIA) in Dickinson, N.D.

In the circle, Czelusniak hurled 60.1 innings with 29 strikeouts during her career at Solano. Offensively, she finished the shortened 2020 season with a .412 on-base percentage.

"Britney is a hard worker in all she does in the classroom and on the field," Solano softball head coach Nikki Gentile said.

Enriquez, the first big 2018 high school recruit for Gentile's program, posted a .450 batting average with five home runs, 20 RBI, nine doubles, and a triple through the team's 20 games this season.

"Over the last year, her growth on the field has been exponential, and she was a huge offensive threat for us this season," Gentile said. "Hailey also brought a lot of depth to us defensively with a great arm, playing third base, outfield, and also spending some time behind the dish for us as a freshman."

The Solano softball team finished the shortened 2020 campaign with an 8-12 record, 2-0 in Bay Valley Conference play.
