Kaluza Inks NLI with Davis and Elkins College

Fairfield, Calif. - Pitcher and outfielder Cecily Kaluza has inked an National Letter of Intent with Davis and Elkins College to continue her softball and academic career, announced Thursday.

"Cecily is a versatile and talented athlete both in the circle and in the outfield," Solano head softball coach Nikki Gentile said. "Her spirit and love for the game is contagious, and we are so proud of Cecily and her courageous comeback to the game. [Davis and Elkins] will utilize her for both her talents in the circle and in the grass, and we are confident her resilient work ethic will continue to blossom on the East Coast."

Kaluza, a transfer from Sacramento City College, threw 49.1 innings in 12 games with seven saves and two wins. In just her second outing in the circle for the Falcons, she threw a one-hitter against Folsom Lake. Offensively, she scored nine runs with three doubles and four RBI at the plate.
