Softball Splits with Yuba

Marysville, Calif. - The Solano softball team split at Yuba on Tuesday afternoon, falling in game one 8-3 before rebounding with a 7-2 win.

Offensively, freshman Naiya Watts led the Falcons on the day, going 2-for-7 with a double and two RBI. Freshman Bianca Belo-Diaz was close behind with a 2-for-5 day, going 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored in game two.

In game one, a trio of freshmen split time in the circle, led off by Kiera Edwards, followed by Kourtney Patrick, and rounded out by Britney Lentino with Edwards being charged with the loss.

Lentino followed up with a complete-game win, allowing no earned runs in game two.

Solano (14-22) wraps up regular season play by hosting Mendocino in a doubleheader on Tuesday, Apr. 26 beginning at 12 p.m. with the BVC title on the line.
