Oakland, Calif. - Sophomores Lexi Hines and Sierra Chapman led the Falcons to the Bay Valley Conference women's basketball title with a 63-59 win over Laney on Friday evening.
Hines led the team with 15 points and eight rebounds, while Chapman played one of her best games of the season with 12 points and eight boards.
Solano posted a big third quarter to boost the team to the win.
"I'm really proud of this group for all of their efforts on the court and in the classroom," Solano head women's basketball coach Matt Borchert said. "It is great to see them accomplish a BVC title!"
The Solano women's basketball team (17-8, 9-1) will await its postseason fate at the playoff seeding meeting on Monday, Feb. 25.
