Fairfield, Calif. - Freshman Lexi Derf scored a team-high 22 points off the bench to lead the Falcons to a 73-59 victory over Feather River to capture fifth place in the Solano Showdown on Sunday afternoon.
Derf tallied three three-pointers and was a perfect 7-of-7 from the line. Sophomore Vanessa Hughes added 15 points, while freshman Ashmeen Sran and sophomore Jada Scott scored 12 and 10 points, respectively. Scott was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Solano got off to a quick start, outscoring Feather River 20-11 in the first quarter before capping the matchup with a 18-11 margin in the final 10 minutes.
The Falcons (5-7) return to action at home on Wednesday, Dec. 18, hosting Contra Costa at 7:30 p.m.
