Fairfield, Calif. - Freshman Lexi Derf scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Solano women's basketball team to its sixth Bay Valley Conference win in dominating fashion over Mendocino, 84-21, on Friday evening.
Derf shot 70 percent from the field, including connecting on 4-of-6 attempts from beyond the arc, adding four steals. Sophomore Vanessa Hughes was the other Falcon to reach double figures with 12 points with five rebounds and four steals.
Solano (11-8, 6-1) takes its three-game winning streak into an extended break before hosting Yuba on Wednesday, Jan. 29 for a 7:30 p.m. tip.
