Flynn Nets A Pair in Falcons's Push against Cosumnes River

Fairfield, Calif. - Freshman Keana Flynn netted a pair of goals in the Solano women's soccer team's 2-2 push with Cosumnes River on Friday afternoon in the Falcons' home opener.

Flynn gave the Falcons the early lead off an assist from sophomore Melinda Rashidian before Cosumnes River tied the match heading into halftime. Solano broke the stalemate in the 59th minute on Flynn's second goal, assisted by sophomore Karla Cardinal. But the Hawks equalized the match with about 15 minutes remaining.

Sophomore keeper Kirstyn Gotschall counted four saves.

The Falcons (0-0-2) resume action on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at Ohlone. Match time is set for 4 p.m.
