Fairfield, Calif. - Freshman Megan Borges and sophomore Isabel Olmedo earned a pair of goals each as the Solano women's soccer team routed Mendocino, 7-0, to open Bay Valley Conference play on Friday afternoon.
Freshmen Amber Ayala and Jordyn Bennett and sophomore Isabella Kelly-Fondersmith combined for the team's other three goals. Sophomore Karla Cardinal earned assists on three of the team's goals, and sophomores Grace Lee and Abrejiah Jordan and freshman Savannah Crews and Bennett all earned an assist each.
In the goal, sophomore Kirstyn Gotschall and freshman Ashley Zahner each played a half.
The Falcons (2-4-2, 1-0) head on the road to Los Medanos next on Tuesday, Oct. 1 for a 4 p.m. match.
