Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano women's tennis team swept doubles play and captured three singles victories en route to a 5-4 victory over American River on Friday afternoon.

The teams of freshman Melanie Fisher and sophomore Jyne Velono and sophomore Yasmeen Awad and freshman Yanci Yanez outlasted their opponents in scores of 9-8 and 8-2, respectively. Velono, Yanez, and Awad also picked up singles wins.

The Falcons (3-0) head to Santa Rosa next on Tuesday, Mar. 5 at 1 p.m.
