Fairfield, Calif. - A balanced attack led the Solano women's volleyball team to a split in the Solano Classic, falling to Gavilan in straight sets before a three-set rebound against West Valley on Friday.
Set scores against Gavilan were 25-17, 25-20, 25-22; and set scores against West Valley were 26-24, 25-16, 25-21.
Sophomore outside hitter Elyssa Rollins had the best overall offensive outing for the Falcons, amassing 14 kills. Sophomores Makalya Johnson and Makayla Smith both tallied four aces on the day each.
The Falcons (2-2) host Butte and Siskiyous on Wednesday, Sept. 6 for the 6th Falcon Classic beginning at 4 p.m.
