Fairfield, Calif. - The Falcons equalized the first match against Butte before falling in four, but the team rebounded in straight sets against Siskiyous on Wednesday evening in the 6th Falcon Classic.
Butte took the lead with a 25-20 set one before Solano fired back with a 25-16 second set victory. But Butte closed out the match 25-22, 25-21. Against Siskiyous, Solano won 25-11, 25-14, 25-22.
Freshman Destiny Greenwood paced the Falcon offense with 23 kills over the seven sets with sophomore Elyssa Rollins counting a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs against Butte.
The volleyball team (3-3) heads to the Delta Classic next, facing Fresno at 12 p.m. and Foothill at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8.
