No. 13 Falcons Fall in Four at No. 4 American River

Sacramento, Calif. - Sophomore Haley Del Rio racked up 21 kills in the 13th-seeded Solano women's volleyball team's four-set loss at No. 4 American River on Tuesday evening in the CCCAA Northern Regional Round 1.

Set scores were 25-20, 25-23, 16-25, 25-18.

"We played a very aggressive four-set match," head coach Darla Williams said. "It was a disappointing match, but I'm very proud with the way they played."

Freshman Lindsey McLaughlin posted a solid all-around match with 12 kills, three aces, and three blocks. In the backcourt, freshman Rocelyn Hongria tallied 20 digs, while freshman Kayla Somontan earned 31 assists.

The Falcons finish their 2019 campaign with a 22-7 overall record after completing Bay Valley Conference play without dropping a set with a 14-0 mark.
