Women's Volleyball Downs Alameda

Alameda, Calif. - The Solano women's volleyball team downed Alameda (25-4, 25-7, 25-2) on Friday evening. The Falcons improve to 14-11, 7-0 in BVC play.

"We served tough and our offense was explosive with only two mistakes on our total attempts," Solano women's volleyball coach Darla Williams said. The team hit just below .600 and served 95 percent with 37 aces. Alameda is a developing team/program, and we were able to stay focused and play solid ball."

Sophomore Kailyn Kaiser counted nearly half of the team's aces with 15, not counting an error from the service line. Freshmen Sammy Brown and Dani Rydjord each earned five aces, while sophomore Mylei Moli tallied four with seven kills.

"Kailyn was a serving machine," Williams said. "In the third set she was our second server and served all the way to 22-1. Overall it was a full team effort with everyone contributing."

Solano returns home to host Yuba on Wednesday, Oct. 27. Fans are allowed, but masks are required.
