FAIRFIELD — Kate-Lynn Jimenez scored three first-half goals for a hat trick and played goalkeeper in the second half Tuesday as the Solano Community College women's soccer team beat visiting College of Marin 4-2.
Jimenez scored her first goal five minutes into the match off an assist from Gabby Gonzalez. Julia Villareal and Gonzalez had the assists four minutes later for Jimenez. Fifteen minutes into the match Jimenez struck again with assists from Villareal and Jayden Hill. The Falcons went up 3-2 at halftime.
Villareal scored a goal off an assist from Giovanna Edwards at the 85-minute mark of the second half. Briana Shafer was the first-half goalkeeper.
Solano is now 2-0 in the Bay Valley Conference and 2-6-1 overall. The Falcons will play at Merritt College next Tuesday beginning at 2 p.m.
