Baseball Comes Up Short in Offensive Shootout Against Napa

Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano baseball team came up short in Thursday's offensive shootout against Napa Valley, 19-17, in game two of the Bay Valley Conference series.

Sophomore Isaiah Verrett went 3-of-6 with three runs, a double, home run, and five RBI. Sophomore Cameron Michael backed him up with a 3-of-5 performance with a double and three RBI.

On the bump, sophomore Nik Dodson (0-2) was charged with the loss, allowing six runs in one inning on five hits. Sophomore Bobby Meadows got the starting nod, going six innings and striking out nine.

The Falcons (9-14, 5-3) host Napa Valley to close out the series on Friday, Mar. 22 at 12 p.m.
