Pleasant Hill, Calif. - The Solano baseball team dropped the series opener at Diablo Valley, 19-5, on Thursday afternoon.

Freshman shortstop Victor Vega led the Falcon offense at the plate with a 2-for-4 performance with two runs. Four Falcons earned a RBI each.

On the mound, freshman right-handed pitcher Davis Dunkley (0-1) was charged with the loss, throwing 2.2 innings with a pair of strikeouts. 

Solano (0-3) finishes the series at Diablo Valley on Friday, Apr. 16 in a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m. Both games will be seven innings each.
