Pleasant Hill, Calif. - Freshman first baseman Leon Ancheta-Garcia paced the Falcon offense en route to take the baseball series at Diablo Valley on Friday. Solano defeated the Vikings 7-5 and 8-6 in two seven-inning games.
Ancheta-Garcia went 4-for-7 at the plate with five RBI and two runs.
In the first game, Ancheta-Garcia counted a double and a triple in his three hits, batting in the go-ahead run in the third inning on a single down the left field line.
Freshman Anthony Galindo (1-0) earned the win for the Falcons on the mound, hurling four complete and striking out three.
Freshman Dylan Lamb batted in three runs in the second game, going 2-for-4 from the plate, including a two-run homer to right field to open the contest.
On the bump, freshman Richard Mealey (1-0) earned his first victory of the season, throwing the complete game and fanning five.
Solano (2-3) continues competition at home on Wednesday, Apr. 21 when it hosts Marin at 2:30 p.m.
