Fairfield, Calif. - After running track at Solano College, Sam McKinney has held the position of Kinesiology and Athletics Assistant since 1985. Over his long career at Solano College, McKinney was instrumental in all athletic events on campus. He played a pivotal part in the growth and pride of Solano College Athletics. He worked endless hours on holidays, weekends, and nights because Solano Athletics was a large part of his life and was "family." The Solano Athletics Department wants to recognize McKinney for his pride in his work, and get it done attitude as he is retiring and will be missed everyday.
