Pittsburg, Calif. - Freshman Alex Peppard counted his second home run of the season, but the Solano baseball team dropped the series-opening game at Los Medanos, 19-3, on Tuesday afternoon.

Peppard went yard in the top of the seventh inning after also scoring the team's first run of the game off of a RBI-double by sophomore Bryce Prybylinski in the fifth inning.

Sophomore Alex Clouthier (2-3) was charged with the loss after five innings on the mound.

The baseball team (9-18, 5-7) heads back to Solano to host Los Medanos in game two of the series on Thursday, Apr. 4 at 2:30 p.m.
