Fairfield, Calif. - Freshman Austin Menessini led the Falcon offense with a 3-for-4 performance, but the Solano baseball team dropped a 6-2 contest to Monterey Peninsula on Thursday afternoon.

Menessini recorded a double, scoring both of the team's runs, and batting fifth.

Freshman righty Anthony Galindo (0-3) was the pitcher of record, pitching four complete, allowing five hits, while fanning five.

Solano (1-8) completes the two-game series against Monterey Peninsula on the road on Friday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m.
