Ard; Will Capture ITA Honors
Tempe, Ariz. - Solano men's and women's tennis assistant coach Allie Will and men's conference champion Connor Ard have earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) awards, announced on Friday.

Will earned ITA Assistant Coach of the Year honors for both men's and women's tennis, while Ard was named the ITA National Arthur Ashe Leadership Award recipient.

"Winning an award for each program is certainly a remarkable achievement, but nobody deserved it more than Allie for her dedication to the programs and her passion and love for the teams," Solano head men's and women's tennis coach Connor Van Alstyne. "Connor deservedly won the ITA National Arthur Ashe Leadership Award. I have always had a lot to say about this special individual and the positive impact he made every day."

Ard finished the season 12-6 in singles competition and 14-9 in all doubles competition. Academically, he has been accepted to all eight four-year schools he has applied to. Ard brings unparalleled energy and positivity on and off the court. He has helped create a culture at Solano Community College that propels his teammates and coaches to want to be out there with him because he is inclusive, respectful, and has a really good-natured soul.
