Softball Splits Saturday Twinbill with Lassen

Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano softball team split a Saturday twinbill with Lassen, winning game one 13-5 in five innings but falling 14-4 in the second game.

In the first matchup, sophomore Hailey Enriquez led the Falcons bats, posting a perfect 3-for-3 performance at the plate with a double and home run. She added three RBI and scored two runs. Freshman Ari McIntyre also hit 1.000 on the day with a 2-for-2 performance with a double and a RBI.

Sophomore Cecily Kaluza (1-3) earned the win, starting the game and going three complete innings with a pair of strikeouts. McIntyre finished the game with two scoreless innings, while allowing only two hits and fanning five.

In the second game, Enriquez and freshmen Gracie Alves and Gaby Ibarra both earned two-hit games with Ibarra earning the team's lone multi-base hit with a double. McIntyre (2-3) was charged with the loss in the circle after throwing 4.2 innings and allowing six earned runs on 11 hits.

Solano (4-9) continues its homestand, hosting Diablo Valley for a doubleheader on Thursday, Feb. 27. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
