Fairfield, Calif. - Sophomore Vanessa Hughes led all scorers with 19 points in the Solano women's basketball victory over Marin, 59-48, on Friday evening.

The Falcons (9-8, 4-1) edged Marin 14-12 in the first quarter and never looked back, outscoring Marin in each quarter.

Hughes added eight rebounds to her points with freshmen Ashmeen Sran and Savannah Lopez backing her up in the points column with nine each, respectively. Sophomore Jada Scott posted a complete all-around game with eight points, nine boards, six assists, and six steals.

Solano heads to Alameda next on Wednesday, Jan. 15 for a 7:30 p.m. matchup.
