Women's Soccer Downs Merritt, 7-0

Fairfield, Calif. - Sophomore Savannah Crews and freshman Adriana Mendoza netted a pair of goals each in the Solano women's soccer 7-0 win over Merritt on Tuesday afternoon.

Crews opened up the scoring in the 22nd minute off an assist from freshman Lenaye Ringler. Ringler earned her second assist on Mendoza's first goal in the 27th minute with freshman Amber Morales also getting in on the action with an assist of her own. Morales tallied three assists on the day.

Freshman Dakota Marin wrapped up the first half scoring with a goal in the 29th minute, while freshman Isabel Martinez counted the first goal for the Falcons in the second half in the 68th minute on a penalty kick. Mendoza and Crews earned their second goals in the 76th and 82nd minutes, respectively.

Ringler also earned a goal in the 88th minute from a feed from Marin and Morales.

All three freshmen goalies played in the match with Fatima Guzman playing the entire first half, while Bailey Erbland played for 25 minutes in the second half with Jessica Biasotti wrapping things up. 

Solano (6-5, 5-1) heads back on the road, taking on Marin on Friday, Oct. 15 at 4 p.m.
