Falcons Shut Out Mendocino, 6-0

Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano women's soccer team shut out Mendocino, 6-0, on Tuesday afternoon.

Freshmen Fatima Guzman and Amber Morales both netted a pair of goals to lead the Falcons. Guzman scored first in the 10th minute off of an assist from freshman Ximena Rodriguez followed by Morales' unassisted goal in the 14th minute. Sophomore Savannah Crews earned an assist on Guzman's second goal in the 35th minute before Morales wrapped the first half on her second score on an unassisted free kick in the 43rd minute.

Freshman Dakota Marin earned her lone goal of the match in the 88th minute off a feed from Rodriguez before Solano scored on an own goal as time expired.

Freshmen Bailey Erbland and Jessica Biasotti split time in the goal with Erbland as keeper for the first 65 minutes.

Solano (7-5-1, 6-1-1) heads to Los Medanos next on Friday, Oct. 22 for a 4 p.m. match.
