Women's Soccer Shuts Out Merritt

Oakland, Calif. - Freshman Kayla Herman opened and finished the scoring for Solano as the women's soccer team shut out Merritt, 6-0, on Friday afternoon.

Herman scored both of her goals unassisted in the 28th and 87th minutes. Freshman Isabel Martinez scored the team's second goal off of freshman Amber Morales' first of two assists in the match in the 35th minute before freshman Dakota Marin closed the first half with a goal in the 38th minute off of Morales second assist.

Sophomore Savannah Crews got in on the action in the second half, earning a score off a feed from freshman Paulina Rubio in the 72nd minute before Morales scored soon afterward in the 74th minute, unassisted.

Freshman Bailey Erbland played the entire match in the goal.

Solano (10-7-1, 9-3-1) closes out the 2021 regular season hosting Marin on Tuesday, Nov. 9 for a 3 p.m. match.
