Falcons get first win over Ohlone with an amazing team performance

Coming off a close game in week 4, the Falcons looked to bounce back. Heading into Ohlone College, Solano did more than just bounce back. The team started off hot in the first half with midfielders Ani LopezGabby GonzalezKate-Lynn Jimenez, and Amber Morales scoring all 4 points of the first half. The falcons kept pace going into the second half, as midfielder Kate-Lynn Jimenez hit her second goal, and Claire Sawin adding two more to the scoreboard. On the defensive side, coach Pernile Kelm started Fatima as goalie and was subbed off at the 23rd minute, and then Jessica Biasotti played goalie the entire time after as the goalie, holding her own with multiples saves. Overall, the team dominated on both sides off the ball, holding Ohlone to 0 points, as the Falcons scored not only a season high, but received their first win of the season.

 

Solano has 2 days to rest as they host Butte College at 3:00 pm, Friday. The Falcons are looking to build off this win and carry the momentum into the next game.
