Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano women's volleyball team cruised to wins over Gavilan, 3-1, and Siskyous, 3-0, on Friday afternoon to open the Solano Classic #1.
Against Gavilan, scores were 25-23, 22-25, 26-24, 27-25. And set scores were 25-11, 25-16, 25-18 against Siskyous.
Sophomore Haley del Rio and freshman Lindsey McLaughlin combined for 36 of the team's total 51 kills against Gavilan. McLaughln was errorless hitting out of the middle with 14 kills on 19 attempts (.737), adding five total blocks, four solo, and three service aces. del Rio added her second double-double of the season with a team-high 17 digs.
Solano (2-2) wraps up the Solano Classic #1 against Feather River on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 4 p.m.
