No. 18 Women's Volleyball Falls to Folsom Lake in Non-Conference Matchup

Fairfield, Calif. - Sophomore Haley Del Rio counted 14 kills but the Solano women's volleyball team fell short against Folsom Lake, 3-0, on Wednesday evening in a non-conference matchup.

Set scores were 25-18, 25-23, 25-22.

"We lost a hard fought match tonight with Folsom Lake College," head coach Darla Williams said. "It was good for us to have this competition this late in the season with playoffs around the corner. We challenged them but fell short in each set. We need to play at this level and higher for playoffs."

Freshman Lindsey McLaughlin was close behind with nine kills, while sophomore Ixchel Moreno posted 15 digs, her best defensive match this season. Defensively at the net, freshman Mylei Moli earned a team-high four blocks.

Solano (21-6) looks to stay perfect in conference play as it hosts Los Medanos to wrap up the regular season on Friday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m.
