Women's Volleyball Down Yuba

Fairfield, Calif. - Freshmen Dani Rydjord and Sammy Brown led the Falcon offense to a sweep of Yuba on Monday evening.

Set scores were 25-19, 25-13, 25-12.

Rydjord led the Falcons with 11 kills, adding three blocks, while Brown earned a double-double with 10 kills and 13 digs with four aces.

Defensively, sophomore Kailyn Kaiser tallied 14 digs with three aces, while sophomore Anaya Rodriguez seven digs with 15 assists and seven kills. At the net, sophomore Mylei Moli posted three blocks.

"We played a solid match tonight," Solano women's volleyball head coach Darla Williams said. "We had a few too many missed serves, but we made up for it in our offense and defense. This win was huge because up until last Friday, Yuba's only conference loss was to us, but Marin beat them to put them both tied for second in the conference standings."

Solano (16-11, 9-0) remains home on Wednesday, Nov. 3, hosting Napa Valley at 6 p.m. Fans are welcome, but face coverings are required.
