Falcons wrap up the final preseason match 1-1.

Falcons fought haard in the final classic for the pre-season.  Thw first match was with Ohlone College, and won in five sets.  24-26, 25-17, 20-25, 25-15, 15-11

Kelsey Wall led the way on offense with 16 kills, added 13 digs

Rachel Lin added 9 kills, serving 14-14 with 12 digs

Dani Rydjord chipped in 7 kills, serving 25-26, leading the way on defense with 18 digs and running the offense with 40 assist. 

Crystal Carroll served 18-18 with 3 aces ad chipped in 9 digs

Hannah Del Rio led at the net with 5 blocks and added 7 kills

Lili Ayala also chipped in 7 kills

Layla Morales served well going 12-13

This was definitely our best night with both of our middle hitters having a great match.

 

 

The second match was against the #1 ranked Feather River, who is #1 in the state of CA.  

We lost in three sets, 12-25, 9-25, 19-25

 

The falcons showed great fight and hard work in set #3.  That's when Solano started to relax and just play ball.  They served better as a team in all three sets against Feather River. 

Sammy Brown led the team with 8 kills

Crystal Carroll led the way on defense with 11 digs

Kelsey Wall added 4 kills, serving 9-9

Dani Rydjord chipped in 3 kills on zero errors, 4 digs and 12 assist.

Eryka Ferrer added 4 digs and serving 3-3

Layla Morales served 5-5 and chipped in 4 assist 

 

Falcons are still at a good pace, as they stand at 11-6 overall.

 

The Bay Valley Conference begans next Wednesday away at Mendocino College, and then they will return home on Friday Sept. 30th to host Yuba College.
