September Co- Athletes of the Month Announced from Volleyball and Soccer

Jada Cuffie Earns Athlete of the Month with Stellar Volleyball Performance

Jada Cuffie has been named Co-Athlete of the Month, a well-deserved recognition for her outstanding contributions on the volleyball court. Cuffie's dominance in multiple areas of the game has set her apart as one of the top players, reflecting her leadership, athleticism, and skill.

Through 18 matches and 66 sets played, Cuffie has showcased her all-around ability, ranking at or near the top in several key statistical categories. She has recorded an impressive 156 kills, placing her 3rd overall in the league, with a kills-per-set average of 2.36, which ranks 4th. Her efficiency at the net is undeniable, as she boasts a hitting percentage of .310, placing her 5th in this category.

But it’s Cuffie’s defensive prowess that truly sets her apart. Leading the league in blocks, she has amassed 30 solo blocks and 28 block assists for a total of 58 blocks, securing the top spot in all three categories. Her 0.88 blocks per set also rank her 1st overall, making her a formidable presence at the net.

Cuffie’s contributions go beyond just her defensive excellence. She has accumulated 200 points, ranking 2nd in total points scored, with an average of 3.0 points per set, placing her 4th in this category.

Though not a primary defensive specialist in digs or receptions, Cuffie’s 17 digs and error-free reception record further demonstrate her versatility.

Jada Cuffie’s leadership and impact on the court are unmistakable, and her selection as Athlete of the Month is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and elite performance. As she continues to dominate on both offense and defense, her future in the sport looks bright.

 

Julianna Jacobson  Athlete of the Month for Soccer with dedication and hardwork

 

Juliana Jacobson has been named Solano’s Co-Student Athlete of the Month for September in recognition of her outstanding performance and exceptional attitude. A dedicated and hardworking athlete, Juliana consistently pushes herself in every training session and game, giving 100% effort and commitment.

Originally joining the team as a field player, she selflessly stepped up to play in goal when needed, embracing the role with a phenomenal attitude.

In September, Juliana's efforts in goal were remarkable, highlighted by two shutouts and several high-save performances. Her stats for the month include 9 saves and a shutout against De Anza, 10 saves at Sac City, 14 saves at Butte, 14 saves at Modesto, 7 saves and a shutout vs Feather River, and an impressive 15 saves vs Cosumnes River. 

Julianna's impact to the team has been impressive and will represent her team well as the September Athlete of the Month.
