The Solano College women’s soccer team delivered a statement win on Tuesday afternoon, overpowering Mendocino College 14-1 in an explosive offensive performance at home. The Falcons controlled every aspect of the match from the opening whistle, setting a season-high in goals scored and securing their most decisive victory of the year.
Solano’s attack was relentless, with eight different players finding the back of the net. Zoe Zanassi and Kalina Osorio each recorded hat tricks, combining for six goals to lead the charge. Breanna Davis and Mia Ponce each netted two goals apiece, while Aaliyha Padilla, Gracie Manley, Katelyn Walbolt, and Emily Manley all contributed single goals in the team’s offensive onslaught.
The Falcons’ midfield and defensive units were equally impressive, limiting Mendocino to just three shots on goal throughout the match. Goalkeepers Jasmine Calderon and Hannah Brackfield split time in net, combining for two saves and maintaining strong control in the back.
Padilla, Osorio, and the Manley sisters highlighted Solano’s unselfish play with key assists, totaling six team assists overall.
