Fairfield, Calif. - The Falcons recorded six of the team's 20 total hits in a huge eight-run first inning to propel Solano over Los Medanos, 17-7, on Saturday afternoon.
Three Solano baseball players earned three-hit outings with sophomore catcher Jared Denning adding to those three with two multi-base hits, including a home run in the eighth inning. He recorded three RBI and scored a pair of runs.
Freshman John Yancy earned the win after throwing seven complete with four strikeouts and allowing only three earned runs.
The Falcons (5-13) open Bay Valley Conference competition at home on Tuesday, Mar. 13 against Mendocino at 1 p.m.
