Baseball Falls in Conference Opener to Laney

Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano baseball team fell in its Bay Valley Conference opener to Laney, 7-4, on Tuesday afternoon.

Freshman designated hitter Jason Pridy recorded the team's lone extra base hit with a triple, while freshman right fielder Cameron Martin counted the team's only RBI in the eighth. Martin and freshman third baseman Eli De Guzman both tallied a pair of hits.

Freshman Herbie Lane (0-3) was the pitcher of record for the Falcons, throwing five innings and allowing four earned runs on six hits with a pair of strikeouts.

Solano (4-15, 0-1) heads to Laney for game two of the series on Thursday, Mar. 12. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
