Solano Powers Past Contra Costa with Offensive Surge

FAIRFIELD, Calif. ? The Solano College baseball team rallied from an early deficit to defeat Contra Costa 12-6 in a dominant offensive performance on Thursday afternoon.

Early Struggles, Strong Response

Contra Costa jumped out to an early lead, scoring three runs in the first inning and adding another in the second to go up 4-0. Solano, however, responded emphatically in the third inning with four runs of their own to take the lead. They continued their offensive push with three more runs in the fourth, seizing control of the game.

Offensive Leaders

Solano?s bats came alive, racking up 12 hits. Isaiah Pazmino led the charge, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs, while Mason Sayre also contributed three RBIs on two hits. Michael Rivera, Tyler Chalk, and Cayne Hill each added key RBIs to keep the Falcons in command.

Contra Costa had strong performances from Ryan Paynton, who went 2-for-4 and scored twice, and Jacob Jojola, who drove in two runs. Despite collecting nine hits, Contra Costa struggled to capitalize in key moments.

Pitching & Defense

Solano?s bullpen kept Contra Costa in check after the early innings. Starter Daniel Rios settled in after a rocky start, and reliever Eli Blurton provided crucial innings to secure the win. Defensively, the Falcons turned multiple double plays, led by Rivera and first baseman Bryce Alcantara.

For Contra Costa, starting pitcher Jonah Fisher struggled to contain Solano?s bats, and the bullpen couldn?t halt the momentum. The Comets also committed a costly error that contributed to Solano?s offensive outburst.
