Solano Completes BVC pre conference series  with 6-4 Victory Over Laney

FAIRFIELD, Calif. – The Solano Falcons  won a hard-fought 6-4 victory over Laney College on Friday. A strong pitching performance from Tyler Chalk and timely hitting helped the Falcons secure the win at home.

Falcons Rally to Take Control

Laney jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, but Solano answered back with a run in the third before taking the lead in the fifth. A three-run sixth inning gave the Falcons a cushion, and they held on despite a late push from Laney in the ninth.

Solano’s offense was efficient, collecting 11 hits. Cameron Taylor led the way with two hits, including a double, while Javier Manila, Tanner Millsaps, Trevor Lesperance, Joseph Dain, and Rolando Ramos each drove in a run. Ramos also had an impressive day on the basepaths, stealing three bases.

Chalk Leads Strong Pitching Effort

On the mound, Tyler Chalk delivered a stellar outing, earning the win after tossing seven innings of two-run ball with four strikeouts. Mark Graham and Devon Hancock closed out the game, with Hancock picking up the save.

 

Laney’s starter Nick Fenton took the loss after allowing three runs over five innings. The bullpen struggled in relief, surrendering three additional runs in the sixth inning.
