
FAIRFIELD, Calif. – The Solano Falcons dominated second BVC pre conference game, defeating the Contra Costa Comets 14-5 on Tuesday. With a balanced offensive attack and strong pitching, Solano moves to 1-0 on the season, while Contra Costa falls to 0-1.
Big Second and Seventh Innings Power Falcons
Solano broke the game open early, plating six runs in the second inning to take control. Despite Contra Costa adding runs in the second, fourth, fifth, and sixth innings, Solano’s seven-run outburst in the seventh sealed the deal.
The Falcons collected 13 hits and drew 11 walks, showcasing patience at the plate. Tyler Chalk had a monster performance, going 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs. Cameron Taylor added a pair of doubles and drove in three runs, while Javier Manila contributed two RBIs.
Falcons’ Pitching Shines
Solano’s pitching staff turned in a strong collective effort. Daniel Rios started and went four innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out six. Dylan Kosar earned the win despite some control struggles, while Eli Blurton and Tony Maldonado combined for 3.2 scoreless innings to close out the game.
