Solano Athletics would like to announce that Diego Reyes has been named the interim head coach of Men’s Basketball for the 2025-2026 season, as John Nagle steps down to persue kinesiology faculty. Reyes has been the associate head coach under Coach John Nagle for the previous 3 seasons.
Prior to coaching at Solano, Reyes was the lead assistant coach at Pacific Union College, and NAIA School in Angwin, CA. During a head coach absence, Reyes became one of the youngest coaches (23 years old) to ever win multiple games at the university level. At 27, Reyes now becomes the youngest head mens basketball coach in the 3C2A.
Reyes has received an MS in Applied Exercise Science from Concordia University Chicago, and his BS from University of California, Los Angeles. Reyes played and graduated with an AA from Mendocino College in 2019.
Reyes will continue to hold his other roles in the athletics department.
