Diego Reyes is entering his first season (25-26) as interim Head Coach at Solano College after 3 seasons as Associate Head Coach under John Nagle. At 27 years old, Reyes becomes the youngest head men’s basketball coach in the 3C2A. In his 3 years at Solano, Reyes has helped move on plenty of players, both academically and athletically. Every sophomore in the program graduated and received an AA. In every season, the Falcons have seen improvement in their record, while also maintain over a 3.2 Team GPA.

Prior to joining the program in 2022, Reyes spent a season as the lead assistant for both the men’s and women’s basketball program at Pacific Union College (NAIA) in Angwin, CA. At Pacific Union, he led scouting, player development, recruitment, and strength and conditioning. Reyes (23) became the 2nd youngest men’s basketball coach ever to win a game at the 4-year level when temporarily filling into the role.

Reyes attended and played at Mendocino College for 2 years, before transferring to University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and focusing on his studies. 

Reyes graduated from UCLA in 2019 with a BS in Applied Mathematics and a MS in applied exercise science from Concordia University Chicago in 2023. 

In addition to his roles at Solano, Reyes has assisted in basketball camps across California including Stanford men’s basketball and NBC Basketball Camps.
