Fairfield, Calif. - Reigning CCCWVCA Norcal Athlete of the Week, women's volleyball sophomore outside hitter Haley Del Rio has been selected as the Solano Athletics September Athlete of the Month, announced Wednesday.

As co-captain of the team, she leads the Falcons in several categories including kills (219), attacks (525), kills per set, and digs (144). She posted a season-high 22 kills and 17 digs against Gavilan, and she has amassed six double-doubles on the season. Additionally, she is currently ranked second in the state for kills.

Off the court, Del Rio is studying biology and helps with summer youth volleyball camps, and she is a mentor to new players to assist them in their transition to college.

The Falcons are on an eight-match winning streak, not having dropped a set in 24 straight sets. They boast a 12-5 overall record, 4-0 in BVC play.
