Fairfield, Calif. - Freshman Rajan Bhatia went 2-0 on the day, but the Solano men's tennis team fell to Diablo Valley, 6-3, in the Falcons' season opener on Thursday afternoon.

Bhatia defeated Omar Panugaling in singles, 6-1, 6-2, before joining freshman Phi Le to defeat Panugaling and Riku "ricky" Kobayashi, 8-3, in doubles.

The Falcons found more success in doubles as freshman D. Patrick Ramos and sophomore Wayne Esparza teamed up to win their doubles match 8-6 over Michael Rosti and Kamal Surajbansi.

Solano (0-2) remains home to host American River on Friday, Mar. 1 at 1 p.m.
