Modesto, Calif. - The Solano men's tennis team competed against 12 community colleges at the Modesto Tournament this week.
The Falcons faced Sierra, Modesto, Fresno City, Folsom Lake, American River, Diablo Valley, Mission, Reedley, Cabrillo, San Diego, Shasta, and Chabot. If competitors lost in the first round, they had the opportunity to enter a back draw for their respective draw.
Solano competed in five singles and two doubles contests. The team will return with three back-draw champions:
#1 - Sophomore Rajan Bhatia won his first and lost to Chabot in the second
#2 - Freshman Hunter Bradac won his backdraw
#3 - Freshman Conor Ard won his backdraw
#4 - Sophomore Phi Le won his first and lost to ARC in the second
#5 - Freshman Jackson DeVries won his backdraw.
Bhatia/Ard, Bradac/Le played the #1 & 2 doubles, respectively, with Bhatia/Ard advancing to the semifinals.
The Falcons (1-1) return home to host Folsom Lake on Friday, Feb. 21 at 1 p.m.
